About Berlize; Berlize was born as the "middle child". She was a large baby, and unfortunatly, she took all to long to get through the birthcanal. When we got her out, she had allready swallowed some water, and got some in her lugns. For allmost 3 hours, we struggled with gettng the water out. A couple of times, it looked like we had succeded. She stopped gaspng for air for a few minutes and we put her with her mother so that she could try and suckle. But she never got that far. Soon she would beging to gasp again, and we had to start helping her breath again. A couple of minutes later she started breathing again, but it was a lost cause. Soon she begand gasping again, taking fewer and fewer breaths each minute before quietly passing away. She will be greatly missed!
